Climate change is one of the most hotly debated issues on the planet and there has never been such a pressing urgency for all of us to make our views on pollution, waste and the environment known to those in positions that can enforce change. Whether you agree with the actions of those who protest against climate change – the ‘disrupters’ such as extinction rebellion – or whether you are happier to sit at the sidelines quietly doing your bit for the planet, the time has come for all of us to discuss our opinions on climate change. It is only through discussion, with our neighbours and with strangers alike, that we can advance towards solutions that slow the decline our our planet’s climate. We hope this article will encourage our readers to raise their awareness of the issues surrounding climate change, share their tips and solutions for everyday waste management, debate the pros and cons of vegan diets, explore how your local community can improve it’s environment and encourage each other to make positive steps towards a greener and healthier future. Talking is EVERYTHING.
We attended the climate protest today (20th Sept 2019) outside City Hall in Maidstone, our local town, to show our support for those asking for positive environmental change and to show the world. Thank you to the many people who spoke with me and allowed me to take their photo for this article. It was a pleasure and a privilege to meet so many individuals willing to be proactive and make a stand against climate change.
