Recent success with UK Trends on Twitter

We’re currently running the social media for two incredible TV shows, ‘The Mighty Redcar’ by 72 Films for BBC Two and ‘Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Guide To Britain’ by Label1 TV also for BBC Two. We’ve created a suite of gif, video clips and images which we are sharing on social media across the series with a heavy focus on generating live chat during the broadcasts on Twitter.

Last week we managed to generate a storm of online conversation around each hashtag, #TheMightyRedcar and #MonkmanAndSeagull, so much so that both stormed to the top of the UK Trends chart on Twitter with ZERO PAID ADVERTISING!

#MonkmanAndSeagull stormed the charts and stayed at no.1 in the UK for 5 solid hours, ahead of #QuestionTime, #Masterchef and #JamieOliver.

While #TheMightyRedcar trended at no.2 in the UK during broadcast for two weeks running:

Cheers to that!
