Level Theory was asked by our clients Label1TV if we would run the social media campaign for their latest edition to their award winning TV series “Hospital”. The show is 6 x 1hr episodes broadcast on BBC Two at 9pm.
Now in its fourth series, the award winning Hospital, for the first time, charts the day to day life of six NHS Trusts across an entire city – Liverpool – whose hospitals have a catchment area covering more than two and half million people, stretching beyond the city to North Wales, Cheshire and to the Isle of Man. Filmed between October and December 2018, Hospital is the story of the health service in unprecedented times.
The show was edited and broadcast within weeks of filming and had a very strict approval process. Content was created within a very short space of time with the final episode often being delivered just 24 hours before broadcast. Level Theory created a combination of video clips and quotes cards to highlight the key stories that we knew would connect with the viewers of the show.
The content was shared live during the broadcast on Twitter as we drove engagement around the show with ‘live chat’ on the @Label1TV account. We also shared the content throughout the week across their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
For live broadcast engagement we really feel that Twitter is the platform to hone in on. We did not use any paid media and yet we managed to get the hashtag #Hospital trending in the top 5 for the UK consistently across the series.
We have been given the news that “Hospital” will be returning for a 5th series and we look forward to working on the content creation for this.
